Marching Band

The Trojan Marching Band, directed by Mr. Hascall and Mr. Potter, is comprised of all students in Symphonic Band and Concert Band and members of the Winter Guard.  This ensemble represents Park Hill High School not only at home football games, but also in local parades and a variety of regional festivals.  The esprit de corps generated and school spirit promoted by this band makes it a favorite of outdoor crowds throughout the community.  Emphasis is on combining the discipline necessary to excel musically with the physical discipline required to create visual excitement.

Required rehearsals are held prior to school each summer.

While the goal of the group will be to get maximum results from time allowed during the school day, extra rehearsals will be required.  DURING THE MONTHS OF AUGUST, SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER, THERE ARE REQUIRED SECTIONALS (schedule released during the first week of school).  These rehearsals are a necessary supplement to the time constraints of the split-block schedule.  Participation in all performances by all members of the ensemble is required.

Placement in high school band for the following year are finished by mid-March for 8th grade band and Campus Band students.  This audition is an ongoing process that as part of the normal curriculum.
